Disaster Animal Response Team (DART)
is a network of agencies, and individuals committed to responding to the needs of the animal population in disaster situations throughout Christian County.
DART’s mission:
To provide a timely and effective response to any intentional or unintentional emergency involving animals, including, but not limited to: bioterrorism, agriterrorism, emerging infectious disease, man-made or natural events
OUR GOALS
Minimize the threats to the health and safety of animals and humans
Minimize the economic impact of animal emergencies
Decrease the spread of disease to animals and humans during any emergency
Understand the interface between human and animal health
